You are registering for the Scheduled Class format of Alpha Children, starting September 30, 2025. Course access will be provided 1 - 2 days before the course starts.

This course format includes live online faculty-facilitated support sessions with Lisa Weiner and Robin Brooks-Sherriff, in addition to Dr. Gordon Neufeld’s video lectures and supplementary course material.

A growing number of children and youth are presenting as demanding, prescriptive, bossy, and controlling. Alpha children are more challenging to parent and predisposed to a number of problems including anxiety, aggression, oppositionality, and eating problems. An understanding of the alpha dynamic opens the doors to change in the family, classroom, and society.

  • If the course is canceled due to insufficient enrolment or other unforeseen circumstances, all registrants will have the option of receiving a full refund or credit.
  • Student cancellations must be submitted by email. Cancellation notifications received up until one day before the start of the course are eligible for a refund, less a $25 administration fee.

This course is also available in Self-Paced Study format
The Self-Paced Study format includes the same main course components as the Scheduled Class format (Dr. Neufeld's video lectures, supplementary course materials, study guide, and a course certificate). Students view previously recorded support classes and study at their own pace. Self-Paced registrants have immediate access to course content. This Self-Paced course includes worksheets to ask questions, and a course assistant will respond.
